Job description

You will be joining our growing team of developers responsible for maintaining and developing the Twinkl website to ensure it is attractive and user friendly.

Core Skills:
PHP, MySQL, HTML, Javascript, CSS, Ajax and related technologies
Experience and knowledge of development on high traffic websites
Experience of a development environment, including using SVN to both deploy and roll-back code
Knowledge of testing across multiple browsers and platforms
Able to write neat, commented code to industry standards
Strong understanding of the upcoming technologies and expertise of query optimization for optimum application performance.
Ability to collaborate on projects with Web Team and CIO, thinking laterally and finding creative solutions
An organized and analytical mind; a strong set of problem solving skills
Ability to keep accurate up-to-date notes and documentation for reporting
Desire to learn new applications/processes/environments
Planning, development and deployment skills
Knowledge of LAMP (Linux-Apache-MySQL-PHP) based development
Commercial sense; calls-to-action, conversions, etc.
Knowledge of E commerce Applications
Good understanding of SEO and web accessibility
