East London
Pay Scale: £140 - £200 per day depending on experience and scale
Required: ASAP or January 2018

One of our lovely mixed, community comprehensive school for students aged 11 to 16 in the Borough of Newham is currently seeking a strong and experienced KS3 & KS4 Geography teacher for an ASAP or January 2018 start. This is a great opportunity for an experienced teacher to join a supportive department where they will be able to grow and teach students who are keen to learn. The schools facilities are exceptional and a wonderful place for young people to learn and grow and also for teaching and support staff to work and learn in. The whole team is focused on raising standards and improving the quality of teaching and learning and who go above and beyond the call of duty (Ofsted, March 2015).

The successful candidate will:

- Be a qualified Geography teacher (ideally PGCE, GTP, B'ed, Cert Ed, BA with QTS).
- Demonstrate recent experience as a Geography teacher.
- Be proven to raise and maintain attainment levels, keeping standards high.
- Be an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual who leads by example.
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent behaviour management strategies.
