The Company

We now have a brilliant opportunity to join a regional Main Contractor operating out of Milton Keynes. The company have made a big name for themselves in the industry which has led to them turning over circa £450m in the next 12 months. They deliver projects up to the value of £60m to a growing list of blue-chip clients across the East and West Midlands. 90% of projects are Design and Build contracts with some exposure to Traditional Build contracts. These projects are split across a number of market sectors including: Industrial, mega sheds, accommodation, commercial, retail & leisure and Education. The company have a reputation for maintaining an excellent relationship with their supply chain and encourage their employees to preserve this whenever possible.

The Ideal Quantity Surveyor

As Senior Quantity surveyor for this company it is vital to have experience in Design and Build and experience working for a main contractor on projects up to the value of £10m. This role is predominantly site based and a successful candidate should feel confident taking the commercial lead on large projects and delegating responsibilities where needed. Our client is looking for a 'Team-leader' who is able to set working standards high and lead by example.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent attention to detail and the confidence to deal with sub-contractors first-hand. Commercial awareness is an absolute must, alongside the ability to make the company as profitable as possible.

Salary and Benefits

Our client offers a basic salary in the region of £55,000 to £60,000 plus car/allowance, as well as the normal benefits you'd expect from a successful company that wants to keep and develop its people.

This firm also offers an extremely attractive bonus scheme where you can be paid up to 20% of your annual salary in bonuses.
