My client based in South Wales are urgently looking for an IT Procurement Specialist to join the team on an initial 6 month contract.

The suitable IT Procurement specialist will will work as part of a central IT Sourcing Team providing strategic solutions to deliver the business objectives.

The Procurement Specialist will work closely with stakeholders to provide advice and support on procurement best practice and will lead and manage the end to end procurement process for specified pieces of work and projects. This will include supplier selection, negotiating contract terms, managing existing vendor relationships and ensuring renewals are in place and on the best terms.
Responsible to drive savings and ability to provide strategic solutions to the business, the successful candidate will be self -motivated, capable of working independently and able to build relationships with multiple leadership levels.

The candidate will work directly with key stakeholders and will support the sourcing activities for a variety of spend categories including Hardware, Software Licensing and Services with the aim of optimizing costs whilst maintaining and or improving the products and services levels received.
To be successful in applying for this procurement role applicants must have:

* An in-depth experience of IT Sourcing
* Experience in IT Software Licensing
* Proven success in leading a full end-to-end procurement cycle with evidence of managing a category, preferably with an IT or Technical Procurement background
* MCIPS qualified
* Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
* Experience of leading procurement governance and delivering value in an operational environment
