Overview:
National Civil Engineering contractor are looking for a Sub Agent to work a large light rail project in the North West. Working alongside the PM you will be responsible of the day of the site.
Job:
Initially working on a Multimillion pound contract in the North West, you will be working within a team to deliver large infrastructure project.
The person completing this role will have knowledge and proven experience of delivering Highways and Structure projects across the UK, and be willing to get involved with all stages of the projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities:
Supervise and monitor the site labour force and sub-contractors
Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to
Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are
maintained
Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that
may arise
Check drawings and specifications
Demonstrate capability of successfully delivering similar projects up to
a value of £10 million
Assist the Project Manager / Site Agent to manage the team of
engineers and foreman to deliver the works in line with the
construction programme
Work with other site team members, planners and subcontractors to
develop look ahead programmes in line with the overall construction
programme
Preparation of cost forecasts and review of construction costs versus
forecasts along with the Project Manager to deliver the project within
budgets
Ensuring the relevant risks are identified early and managed/mitigated
as appropriate
Reviewing construction progress and performance and reporting to the
Project Manager; also taking appropriate corrective actions where
necessary
Drive construction phase of project
Deliver project within programme and budget
Assist the Project Manager / Site Agent with compiling monthly
progress reports
Manage Quality and Environmental plans on site
Manage and supervise Site Engineering

Experience:
Relevant qualification
Minimum 3 years post graduate experience within the Infrastructure and Roads Sector
