Do you have a Psychology degree or do you hold a Teaching Assistant qualification?

Are you a committed and hard-working individual with bouts of enthusiasm and an ability to easily form relationships?

We are looking to recruit a keen individual to work as a 1:1 teaching assistant in a reception class for a young boy with downs syndrome.

The role is to start straight away within a mainstream primary school in the Openshaw area of Manchester. You will be supporting the young boy both within and outside of the classroom, supporting him in social interaction and aiming to boost attainment. You will monitor his learning and report progress back to the class teacher.
It is preferable that you have an understanding or experience of British Sign Language for this role.

You will also have:
* Experience working with SEN children preferably downs syndrome
* A degree in Psychology and/or a teaching assistant qualification
* A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships

This role is temporary to permanent, Monday to Friday.

* Pay of between 11 and £13,000 per annum or £55-65 per day
