Due to expansion we are looking for 2 x Permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers. In return we offer competitive hourly rates, occasional weekend work and paid nights out, a pension scheme plus a monthly bonus.

We are based in Sheffield and are one of the leading crane haulage companys in the UK. With an international licence we can also provide our services abroad.

The main duties of the HGV Class 1 Driver:

* To provide a consistently high standard of professional customer service at all times
* Be responsible for the safe condition/road worthiness of vehicle through documented daily walkround checks and accurate reporting of maintenance requirements and/or defects
* Responsible for load safety including correct loading/unloading, protection and security of goods during transportation
* To ensure all tachograph data/paperwork is completed correctly, checked and submitted for processing without delay
* Be accountable for knowledge and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations

The essential qualities of the HGV Class 1 Driver are as follows:

* Class 1 Licence holder with experience of driving Artics, Curtain Siders and Flat Beds
* Must be capable and confident in own ability to handle wide and extended loads safely
* Must have previous experience of and be competent with general driving duties including load securing and sheeting

Driver CPC Licence
* Be reliable and punctual, accountable for own actions and take personal responsibility for conduct and behaviour

Be capable of communicating effectively at all levels
* Be willing and capable of completing all relevant/required documentation accurately
* Must have a flexible approach to work related tasks including maintaining a positive attitude to unexpected changes to work schedules
* Must be available for nationwide work including occasional paid nights out and weekend work, often at short notice
