Our client is looking for an experienced Neighbourhood Officer to work in the London Borough of Enfield.
To be responsible for providing a high quality neighbourhood management service to a designated patch, supporting residents to comply with their tenancy and lease conditions. To deliver an excellent and proactive housing management service to tenants with a high level of presence and visibility on designated patches, whilst delivering high performance.
Main duties:
To tackle anti-social behaviour by acting as the first point of contact to reports of anti-social activity, nuisance or breach of tenancy
Preparing accurate reports of serious anti -social behaviour to refer to the Councils Community Safety Unit
Seeking to resolve lower level incidents of anti-social behaviour and neighbour nuisance in accordance with policies and procedures, taking enforcement action where required
To implement legal proceedings as agreed by neighbourhood manager, attending court where required
To be responsible for ensuring estate conditions are maintained and improved and to liaise with specialist services where required to resolve issues
To take the lead in managing health and safety issues on the estate and ensure actions from health and safety inspections and fire risk assessments are routinely carried out
To carry out a range of duties including tenancy checks, investigation and resolution of breaches in tenancy and lease conditions, changes in tenancy, boundary disputes, abandoned vehicles, carrying out settling in visits to new tenants
To liaise closely with agencies providing additional support to maintain a high quality and effective service to residents
Essential skills and experience needed:
The ability and commitment to provide excellent customer-focused services to residents
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently to meet targets and standards
Ability to work positively and constructively with a range of agencies and stakeholders to achieve outcomes for residents
Ability to work constructively with resident groups and involve residents in the management of estates
Ability to oversee an excellent standard of estate management and ensure grounds maintenance, estate cleanliness and health and safety issues are addressed
Job requirements:
Must have a minimum of 2 years recent experience working within the same role in a Local Authority
An enhanced DBS of satisfactory level is essential
