Senior Communications Officer Central London

Our client is seeking an engaging and highly professional Senior Communications Officer who is looking for the next step on their successful career track.

As part of a fast-paced and dynamic team, you will work both reactively and proactively to manage communications and news flow to the media.

The reaction to our client's work is always high-profile, and so reputation and impact will be at the forefront of all that you do. The team aspires to best practice and excellence in how they communicate and advise.

You will ensure items are accurately and positively reported and received by audiences across the UK and internationally via traditional, digital and social media channels.

You will produce and deliver creative communications campaigns, and take the lead on designated communications plans and the delivery of event based engagements. With the opportunity to develop your expertise, you will support the creation and implementation of the overall communications strategy.

You will also conduct research for special projects, providing support to both the wider communications team, and overall organisation.

Some travel will be necessary, and the role will also involve giving press briefings and responding to out of hour's media enquiries (on a rostered basis).

About you

You will have extensive experience within a communications, media or PR office, with a relevant degree (or equivalent qualification.)

With good news/editorial sense, you will be up-to-date with current affairs and emerging communication ideas.

Outstanding written and editorial skills will be absolutely vital, together with confidence producing communications for a variety platforms and audiences.

Exceptional interpersonal skills will also be important, enabling you to develop relationships with a wide range of people, both internal and external.

You'll also be assertive, and using sensitivity and good judgement, you will quickly become a trusted and indispensable member of the team.

With initiative and drive, you will proactively contribute new ideas, helping to shape our clients future strategy.
