2183 - Employee Communications Channel Manager - Reading 7 month contract initially - up to £28,000 pro rata
Our client is major global technology company looking for an experienced internal communications professional to own, manage, execute a systematic approach to content planning and implementation across all internal channels.
Represent employee comms at weekly editorial reviews to create/curate internal comms content
Proactively research/recommend new technology, approaches or internal comms tactics or channels to improve engagement and the employee experience
Regular measurement/reporting on internal comms activities and events to gauge impact and drive engagement
Provide best practice counsel and advocate on employee comms
Act as point of contact for external communication partners or agencies,
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and driving effective systems and methods of planning and managing content across UK comms channels
- Management of UK employee comms calendar, SharePoint, internal space booking, internal branding, digital screens and management of select internal communications programmes, processes, and tactics in support of internal communications goals in the UK
- Coordination and production of weekly internal bulletin
- Front line management of inbound employee comms queries, listening across key channels to identify topics/issues requiring communications response
- Working as part of a team to deliver key internal events
- Consistent management, delivery and execution and measurement of key communications initiatives and processes to positively impact and advance communications goals
Knowledge, Skills and Essential Experience
Prior communications experience including a proven track record in running impactful communications programmes to deadline and brief
Sound understanding of internal communications and employee engagement theory with the ability to creatively turn ideas into compelling and relevant deliverables which deliver business impact and drive desired employee behaviour
Strong writing and proofing skills, content creator and curator, proven comms programme delivery
Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Yammer; able to learn and quickly adopt new technical skills pertinent to role
Strong knowledge and understanding of the communications discipline, practices and techniques
Strong project management and organisational skills
Confident and convincing, gives sound counsel and advice
Price / Salary: £28000/annum
