Breakfast Chef/ Chef de Partie required for a 4-star Country House Hotel based in Colchester, Essex. The hotel boasts a 110 cover modern Brasserie plus banqueting and function facilities. Set within glorious parkland the hotel and brasseries recent refurbishment has taken fine dining and luxury accommodation to another level.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation and production of high-quality foods at all times
Working within agreed budgets and regulations, and meeting budget targets
Supervising and mentoring students and less experienced brigade members Work closely with the Food and Beverage team to enhance product knowledge and increase the customer experience
Some planning and pricing of menus
Ensuring the highest level of food hygiene in the kitchen at all times
Ensuring health and safety legislation is complied with in the Kitchen areas
Any other such duties that may be required from time to time by the Head Chef or their nominee Working predominantly morning shifts dependent on operational requirements

About you
You will have previous experience in a la carte cooking and experience of banquet preparation. A passion and knowledge for current food trends are essential as you will be required to assist with menu updates and specials. As you will be a part of a large team it is essential that you have outstanding communication skills and are a team player.
