£35,000 + benefits

About the role

You will play a key part in defining the customer experience, interaction design and look & feel of our web application, as well as working on the mobile and desktop applications.

Working cross-discipline with offshore and onshore developers, international clients, and internal project management and support teams.

Key responsibilities

- Supporting multiple software delivery teams with their design requirements

- Writing design documentation to facilitate technical development, including:

- Information architecture

- Expected behaviour and process flows

- Static mock-ups

- Screen flows

- Delivering design solutions, including:

- Interactive prototypes

- Production-ready HTML & CSS

- Design assets

- Maintaining legacy features and bug-fixing:

- General user interface improvements

- Cross-browser compatibility

- Liaising with clients:

- Capturing business requirements

- Present design solutions

- Ownership and development of inhouse design processes

Interpersonal

- Excellent communication with:

- Clients: to capture requirements and present design solutions

- Internal project teams: plan design process

- Internal development teams: to design and build features

- Receiving and responding to design feedback

- Organisational

- Planning design meetings

- Conducting agile scrum meetings

Skills needed

Must be able to demonstrate:

- Concise copywriting

- Front end web design

- Standards and accessibility compliant HTML

- CSS / SASS

- Visual design

- Photoshop / Sketch / Illustrator

- Interaction design

- Prototyping

- Responsive / mobile design

Desirable skills

- Front end web development

- Angular + React

- Javascript

- Git / Version control

- iOS / Android design
