Job Description

Our client is one of the most respected and technically qualified remediation contractors in the UK, undertaking a wide and diverse range of projects right across the country. Due to Their continued growth and expansion they are looking to appoint an Environmental Engineer to join their friendly and dynamic team to work on their increasing number of exciting projects. The successful applicant will be joining a highly successful specialist employer with a strong client base and an excellent reputation for the delivery of challenging work, on time and on budget.

The role of an environmental engineer is a multi-disciplined role that encompasses a broad range of responsibilities associated with the technical and operational delivery of both site and office based works.

The main responsibilities will include:

Site based delivery of remediation and investigation projects;
Excellent health and safety standards;
Production of technical reports and documents;
Subcontractor selection and management;
Liaison with statutory authorities and other stakeholders;
Assist in the design and planning of remediation schemes.

Experience

You will ideally have 2-3 years` experience, preferably including good quality contracting experience. A relevant degree and a background in contaminated land are essential. You will possess excellent verbal communication skills and first class analytical and technical writing abilities are important, as is a flexible and collaborative attitude to solving problems in a team environment. You will also be experienced in working on site to a high standard of health and safety and be willing to work away from home for short periods.
