CNC Machine Operator - £22,000 - £30,000 per year (Depending on experience)

Brook Street are pleased to present an opportunity to work for a rapidly expanding, dynamic and fast-paced engineering company based in Emsworth, 5 minutes from Southbourne train station. Our client are looking for a CNC Machine Operator with programming experience to work on some exciting new projects and become an integral part of their engineering team!

The successful candidates must be a reliable, forward thinking and self-motivated individual who can effectively communicate quality issues with the Machine Shop Management and Quality Team. This is an interesting, varied and challenging role, and training will be provided for the right candidate as the work is bespoke and a high percentage of one offs and small batch runs. The role will involve loading materials, following job cards and running 'in line' and 'first off' quality checks.

About the Role:

My client is looking for an experienced CNC Machine Operator to join their highly skilled team in Emsworth / Southbourne on a permanent basis.

Ideally you will possess the below experience and skills:

* Successfully apprenticeship trained in CNC Machining
* Be able to check and measure their own work
* Be able to read and understand technical drawings
* CNC Programmer at least one year's experience
* Capable of running manual lathes and milling machines
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* You must have a good work ethic, be reliable and be able to work well as a team
* A good communicator, who is eager to continue learning new skills and who's attitude makes them stand out from the crowd.

In return you will receive a competitive salary of between £22,000 and £30,000 depending on experience. Basic hours are Monday to Thursday 08:00- 17:00 Friday 08:00 - 12:30.However, as much overtime as you can handle is available (at enhanced rates)

You will be available to work in the Portsmouth area ideally within at least a months' notice. You will ideally have your own transport so that you are not reliable on public transport; however this is not a deal breaker. You will be reliable and hands on, and will have had a stable career so far working at most of your previous roles for at least 2-3 years. My client is looking for someone who will be a good fit within their team and therefore it is important that you have a friendly and positive personality.
