Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant

We are working on behalf of a primary school located in south Manchester, to recruit a Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant to work with a child with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties.

The role is based in an OFSTED rated "good" school" and involves supporting the student's development. The boy will need encouragement to stay within the classroom setting and you must be able to plan and deliver interventions both within and outside of the classroom. The boy can sometimes become stressed and can display mild aggressive behaviour. As such, Team Teach training is advantageous, but is not essential.

The ideal behavioural support teaching assistant will have:
* Experience working with children with learning disabilities, specifically EBSD
* Confidence working on a 1:1 basis both within and outside of the classroom
* The ability to form new relationships
* Excellent communication skills
* A DBS dated within the previous year, on the update system or be willing to get a new one

This post is long term and full time, with the view to go permanent.
