Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

£30,000 - £35,000 per annum

A national environmental and engineering consultancy have instructed Penguin Recruitment to find a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their established team.

You will be required to demonstrate a solid track record within the industry as a Mechanical Design Engineer and have experience of leading projects for consultancy or building services contractors. You should have the ability to work independently and within a team and also have experience in either the residential, commercial, education, health care, leisure, offices or industrial sectors. A good working knowledge of IES, SBEM/EPC analysis, Heyacomp, Cyman, Revit, AutoCAD and NES spec writing software would be advantageous however not essential. You should hold a relevant degree and be working towards, or be at CEng status.

Reporting to the Mechanical Director, your duties will be to provide mechanical design services across all stages of general build projects such as design, construction, installation and commissioning. The role, although will be mainly focused on building services, will also require the successful candidate to be flexible and provide knowledge of and solutions to other sectors of the business as requirements dictate. You will also generate and revise specifications and will be able to project mange and mentor the Junior and Intermediate Engineers.
