My client is a leading design and manufacturing company within Oil & Gas and pharmaceutical industries looking to hire a Materials Manager.

To ensure effective planning and progression of orders from Sales through Production/Procurement to shipping to deliver 100% OTD with zero defects. To maintain accurate control of all company materials through appropriate transactions and processes and direct management of shipping and the Production Stores. Lead Procurement team and manage and optimise materials supply/cost and stock from global supply chain across 3 sites.

Skills Required

Degree/HNC in a manufacturing discipline. CIPS qualified with extensive experience in purchasing.

Articulate with good verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

ERP MPS expert working knowledge 5yrs preferred

Extensive experience of LEAN production and Materials/Supplier Management best practice (JIT, KANBAN, stock control, consignment stock, supplier management)
