Payroll Administrator
Based near Andover
Monday - Friday 10.00 - 16.00
Salary: £19,000 -£21,000
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Payroll Administrator to join a well-established, forward thinking Accountancy firm based in Andover. We are looking for people who possess excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with clients and being the first point of contact. You will be required to support our Payroll Officers by providing administrative support. The company offer great progression opportunities and will work with you on your strength
Role and Responsibilities:
* Ensure that adequate and accurate payroll records are maintained at all times
* Supporting the payroll team including the verification of time sheets and issuing payslips
* Dealing with HMRC queries
* Understanding the principles of auto-enrolment
* Processing of new starters/leavers on the system
* Checking payroll hours on a weekly/monthly basis
* Check all figures are authorised to paying
* Pay salaries via BACS
* Pension uploads
* Having responsibility for getting new companies onto the system and registered with HMRC
* Providing support for payroll queries
* Confident telephone manner
Experience and Skills:
* HMRC and Auto-Enrolment: 1 year
* Payroll administration: 1 year
* Previous payroll experience
* Knowledge of SAGE/Xero/My Paye desirable
* Excellent organisation and time management skills
