Business Development Manager required for our client; a drainage solutions specialist based in the South. Due to expansion they are looking to appoint an experienced BDM who has excellent knowledge of the Drainage industry who will be responsible for selling the company's service and maintenance contracts across various sites in the commercial, private sector and Blue Chip clients. The successful Area Sales Manager will be required to occasionally attend the office and therefore will need to be located within a commutable distance to West Sussex.

Business Development Manager Position Overview

Experienced Area Sales Manager required, with a background in the drainage industry, to sell contracts to various sites across the South although a larger may be covered if necessary. It is essential that the Sales Manager has a proven background within a target driven sales role and also a proven understanding of the drainage industry.

Some sales leads will be supplied although you will be required to develop new business as well as account manage current clients and customers. The successful Sales Engineer will be confident in a customer facing role and have experience in face-to-face customer relations as well as over the telephone.

Business Development Manager Position Requirements

* Knowledge of the drainage industry essential to be considered
* Experience in a target driven sales role
* Customer service experience essential
* Must be pro-active and able to work on own initiative
* Must not be afraid to cold call if necessary

Business Development Manager Position Remuneration

* Salary negotiable depending on level of experience
* Basic working hours Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm although extra may be required to meet business needs
