Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job purpose

* Reporting to the Plant & Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for co-ordinating / undertaking all planned and unplanned maintenance work across the organisation.
* 70% minimum hands-on.
* 80% mechanical, 20% electrical.

Job duties:

* Responsible for management and undertaking of all planned and unplanned maintenance work within the organisation to required standards and to agreed deadlines for all plant and equipment within the organisation.
* Investigate and repair mechanical and electrical faults of all equipment and plant, typically power presses, roll mills, electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic equipment, hand tools, rivet guns etc., and building structure.
* Developing and maintaining a planned Preventative Maintenance programme. Review and identify areas of risk that may jeopardise continuous production, proposing changes / improvements etc. justifying as required.
* Production of, and working to, annual budgets.
* Maintaining asset register in conjunction with Finance Manager.
* Disconnecting / reconnecting, installing, moving, commissioning both new and existing plant.
* To liaise with relevant stakeholders to agree planned maintenance schedules in line with production requirements. To carry out general factory improvements, upkeep and maintenance/repair duties.
* Source and facilitate appropriate external contractors as required.

Knowledge, experience and qualifications

* 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance role from a similar environment.
* C&G 2365 level 2 and 3 diploma in electrical installations.
* Able to work with minimal disruption to surrounding workforce and to within relevant compliance standards.
* Understanding and competence in relevant Health and Safety requirements, coupled with ability to maintain records as required (familiar with risk assessments, method statements, COSHH etc.)
* Fork lift truck licence.
* Ability to MIG weld.
* Strong IT skills. Familiar with ERP system, MS Office applications Intermediate level.
* Good understanding of production processes and equipment use regarding safety and efficiency.
* Excellent communication skills, able to give direction to others.
* Be flexible in performing a wide range of duties.
* Able to be flexible often working outside normal hours.
* Driving licence holder.
