Pertemps are working in partnership with a market leading manufacturing business, recruiting for an experienced Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (FMCG) to join and support the Maintenance Team.

As an on Shift Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be responsible for providing engineering support to achieve the plant production targets & PPM completion rate to KPI target levels. The key responsibilities of this role are to actively take part in breakdown response, PPM, Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiatives, Training and Housekeeping.

Working Hours: 4on 4off 12 hours shifts (6AM - 6PM; 6PM - 6AM), working days and nights
Reporting To: Operations Manager

What are your responsibilities as a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer:

Carry Out the Diagnostics, preventive and routine maintenance, as well as fault finding, troubleshooting, and breakdowns on all equipment
Maintain a clean, and safe work area, adhere to best practice safety procedures;
Practice & encourage others to deliver the highest standards of Health & Safety at all times and ensure that all plant and ancillary equipment is maintained to these high standards
Complete Issue activity reports for work completion
Assist the Shift Operations Manager in minimising machine down time by proposing & introducing improved maintenance programmes & continuous improvement ideas.
Responsible for timely completion of all plant PPM schedules and to provide support for all site wide PPM programs
Ensure good communication avenues are prevalent between the Engineering Teams & the Operational teams
Work as part of a multi-functional Mechanical / Electrical on-site Team
Any other adhoc duties as required

Requirements:

You will be a time served manufacturing (FMCG) Engineer
National vocational qualification in engineering; mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatic, electrical or a good academic qualification (i.e. C&G, HNC / HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent)
Apprentice trained & qualified
Experience of fault finding, breakdown repairs, completion of preventative Maintenance routines on Mechanical aspects of various manufacturing production equipment, Continuous Improvement activities.
Able to work under pressure and deliver results to a defined deadline
Logical and analytical
Can-do attitude, self-motivated
Attention to detail
Promote and embrace working standards of the highest quality
MEWP Licence would be beneficial but can be trained
