A leading Demolition and Civil Engineering sub-contractor based in Wales is seeking a Health & Safety Manager that can grow with the business, and drive an ongoing positive Health & Safety culture across the business.

About our Client

We are a leading name within the Demolition and Civil Engineering world. We are a well-established contractor, with years of demolition experience within the Commercial, Residential and Industrial sectors. Primarily working the UK, but nationally mobile, we work with some of the largest construction companies in the UK, offering a full Demolition, Asbestos Removal and Civil Engineering package

About the Role

* Reporting in to the Board of Directors, you will be responsible for both the strategic and operational Health, Safety, Environment and Quality across the business.
* Carrying out Risk Assessments and considering how risks could be reduced, coupled with writing Method Statements detailing the safest ways of working within the associated risk.
* Outlining safe operational procedures (SSOW) which identify and take account of all relevant hazards
* Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented
* Making changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation
* Keeping records of inspection findings and producing reports that suggest improvements
* Recording of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers
* Ensuring the safe movement of plant and equipment
* Deliver toolbox talks to site operatives

About the Candidate

* Holder of NEBOSH in Construction
* Holder of a NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Lvl 5 or equivalent
* Ideally working for, or experience working for, a Demolition Sub-Contractor
* Good understanding of producing Risk assessments and Method Statements for high risk activity
* Strong personality, and able to get buy in at all levels
