I am working exclusively with my client, who are a market leading, reputable retail organisation who are looking for a Cyber Threat Security Analyst to join their rapidly growing cyber security function in Peterborough. Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

* Perform threat identification and vulnerability management duties across all networks across the organisation
* Responsible for ensuring that security vulnerabilities are raised to internal teams and/or 3rd party suppliers
* Responsible for the identification of internal and external threats and vulnerabilities to the organisations networks
* Responsible for fine-tuning vulnerability management toolsets to provide maximum benefit and reduce overall company cyber risk
* Responsible for liaising with stakeholders to perform vulnerability scanning and remediation activities, determine impacts, and recommendations for vulnerability management improvements
* Configure network scans, schedule network scans to run with bandwidth use in mind, and ensure accurate vulnerability assessment

Required Skills/Experience:

* Proven experience in managing and performing vulnerability scans using Tenable Network Security Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys or similar Vulnerability Assessment (VA) scanner operations for identifying network and platform risks and mis-configurations.
* Strong analytical skills, capable of analysing complex technical information to identify patterns, trends and linkage.
* Previous experience within vulnerability management
* Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into easily understood principals.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

* Understanding of ITIL principals
* Previous experience writing vulnerability management procedures
* Previous experience dealing with vulnerability management across complex network topologies.
* One or more of the following qualifications: CISSP, GSEC, GPEN
