Role: 2nd/3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Stafford

Day rate: £150 - £270 Depending on experience

Contract length: 6 months with a view to go permanent

A software house Based in Stafford are looking for a 2nd/3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer join the existing Infrastructure team responsible for the management of our mixed operating system environment of Windows 2012R2 Servers and Linux (Debian). To Support all aspects of the hosting environment from physical networking through to application server administration

IT Support Engineer Required Skills:

Essential Skills:

* Windows 12 R2
* Linux - Debian (Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Apache, Nagios)
* Active Directory
* DNS, DHCP, AD Replication
* Software Deployment
* PowerShell
* SQL
* Networking

This is an opportunity to a strong infrastructure team within a software house. The ideal candidates will have strong problem-solving & diagnostic skills the ideal candidate will be as comfortable monitoring and resolving live system's outages as they are helping with data import (ETL) systems; investigating slow SQL queries; debugging network connectivity issues and racking up hardware.
