Job Details

Our client are looking for an external Electronic/Electrical Service Engineer to install, service, test and commission and Variable Speed Drives and Control panels. The role will be based from with their Northumberland plant with visits to clients throughout the UK.
Reporting to the Service Manager the successful candidate will be responsible to attend various customers sites around the UK for routine service work on all makes Variable Speed Drives, Soft Starts, with installation and refitting of new for old. Responsive breakdown callouts are also required from engineers on a rota basis. Assist with the Hire business with regards installation and commissioning on site and ongoing operation of installed equipment

Service Existing Customers Drives
To assist in small installations of MCC,s and New for Old Variable Speed Drives and Soft starters
To attend breakdowns to customers sites for reactive maintenance
To Test and Commission Products offered by the company
To mark up drawings with modifications.
To support the support sales team and others with specialised knowledge relating to technical issues
To liaise with customers on site regarding technical issues and progress of work
To provide maintain customer relationships for established customers

Experience / Qualifications

The successful candidate will be commercially aware and have a strong engineering background in both technical design and manufacture of control panels.
Applicants will ideally have experience various industry sectors such as, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, paper & pulp, petrochemical, chemical manufacturing and Mining & Aggregate Companies to be able to understand sometimes complex process systems.
Ideally you will be qualified to a minimum of C &G Part 1,2 & 3, HNC/ONC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
IEE 17th Edition Inspections & Testing Certificate
Hold a current JIB Skills Card or CCSC
Safety Passport

Direct on Line starting and Start Delta Starting knowledge is essential
PC knowledge is preferred as software programmes are used on certain products for commissioning.
Working Knowledge of PLC, Soft Start & Variable Speed Drives, Instrumentation and 4 -20mA Control would be an advantage, however training will be provided.
Excellent Communication skills are vital in this role, along with the natural aptitude of representing the Company in a professional and effective manner.

Salary / Shifts

We will be offering a competitive benefits package and company annual profit related bonus.
Call out and standby rates are paid additional to salary package offered.
A full and Valid Driving Licence is required as a Company Vehicle will be provided.

Basic £25,000 - £28,000 + Bonus +O.T (OTE Circa £50,000)
