Contracts Manager

Salary up to £55,000 + Car/Allowance + 25 days holiday + Incentives

I am working with a well respected Main Contractor who are looking to add an enthusiastic and ambitious Contracts Manager to their team as they continue their growth and expansion.

My client is well known for their sustainable construction methods, and the beautiful buildings they produce. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that is growing at a steady and consistent pace, and have a diverse portfolio of works. The idea being for the right candidate to eventually take up directorship and have partial control over the direction of the company.

You will be working alongside the Director, and will have the opportunity to draw upon his expertise, the idea being to relieve some of the workload to enable further expansion.

As a Contracts Manager you will be a pivotal asset in the daily, weekly and monthly operating effectiveness of specific Contracts, working closely with the Site Managers / Foreman to drive forward advance planning, programming and management of projects through to completion. Furthermore you will help price and produce detailed estimates alongside the Director based on a schedule of rates and traditional tenders up to the value of £3m.

Overview of responsibilities and requirements
Involved in the tender process
Ordering materials and building relationships with suppliers
Weekly site visits - responsible for up to 4 jobs at any one time
Attend client and architect meetings
Maintaining the company image and reputation
Experience working on bespoke residential and commercial property
Knowledge of Building Legislation
Effective communication and written skills
Financial and commercial awareness

Qualifications:
CSCS
SMSTS (Desirable)
CIOB (Desirable)
Any related construction management qual. i.e. HND/HNC, BSc. (Desirable)
