Can you deliver outstanding levels of customer service? Would you like the opportunity to work for a national leading freight forwarding company within the local area? Do you have a great eye for detail?

My client is a leading company which has been established for over 70 years within the freight forwarding and transportation industry. Specializing in supply chain and logistics solutions, the company has established best practice standards in Ground transportation, air and ocean shipments, customs clearance and supply chain management. Starting as a family business the true and core values remain in place to this day where all employees are treated with upmost respect and importance.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic employer and become a fundamental team manager, with a good impression to be made and a 1 year fixed contract on offer this is a chance not to me missed.

With appealing and sociable hours of Monday-Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm alongside a competitive local salary you will be reporting to your friendly manager and working alongside a forward thinking and enthusiastic team. It will be your main responsibility to co-ordinate sea freight operations activities for an account, and you can expect some of your duties to include the following;

- Assist the team leader in the execution of their duties in support of the head of air and oceans vision of the company to become more competitive and profitable
- Complete all import, export and cross trade activities correctly and on time ensuring the customs export declaration forms are completed with great accuracy
- Immediately reporting any amendments to the customs declaration forms to your line manager
- Updating and maintaining the operational PO management system
- Creating any ad hoc reports and spot checks on customer entries to be submitted weekly
- Maintaining regular communication with the sales team to generate new leads and handover of shipments
- Ensure all duties/VAT is charged correctly upon invoicing and collect any monies due

So do you have great communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and on your own initiative? Do you have strong knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel which must be on an intermediate level? Do you have a keen eye for detail and strong numeracy skills?
