Working in a team of 4 Hardware Design Engineers, the Electronics Engineer will work on analogue and digital design aspects of their high volume, next generation product. The product encompasses elements of communications (Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, RF), financial transaction modules, security features plus general PCB and circuit design.

We are looking for an Electronic Engineer who is curious, has a passion for learning new things and a thirst for understanding how things work. Suitable Electronic Engineers will have commercial digital and analogue electronics circuit design experience which will include forming ideas, defining requirements, part selection and schematics.

Key activities will involve

- R&D Review and test of products and components which will be of use in future designs
- New product specification - applying design understanding to business requirements
- New product design specifically processor running Linux and associated peripheral circuits
- Existing product development - with specific emphasis on product cost reduction
- Product and circuit testing
- Product certification both statutory and security approvals for global deployment
- New Product Introduction - helping to ensure smooth ramp into high-volume manufacture
- Ongoing manufacturing support helping to rapidly resolve any issues which arise
- Sales support feedback to pre-sales on customer requirements and customisation requests

Desirable skills: OrCAD, Allegro, Bluetooth, WiFi, USB and other protocols, RF knowledge, working with production engineers, design with security in mind. Eg processors with security modules, mesh lines etc.
