Our client has been established for more than half a century and offer a portfolio of design through to manufacturing solutions to clients across the country and Europe, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, proactive and dynamic Quality Manager to complement their established and professional Quality team.

Tasked with monitoring internal product quality and focussing on robust and proactive continuous improvement in both processes and productivity whilst ensuring ppm performance to customers is within the required levels, the successful Quality Manager will have overall responsibility for the team and department and will manage and support them whilst providing training where necessary.

To be considered for this varied and challenging Quality Manager role, it is envisaged that the successful candidate will possess a minimum of at least 5 years' experience gained within an engineering or manufacturing quality management environment and demonstrate a determined and informed style of decision making and management.

With a strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerancing and material specifications and an in depth knowledge of measurement techniques including CMM, due to the wide and diverse product portfolio offered by the organisation, you will essentially need a flexible approach to different relevant quality standards that will include ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

Other essential requirements for the Quality Manager role include excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels, as regular contact with customers and suppliers both internal and external will play an important part within this role, and a high level of IT proficiency to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
