Our client are a company that has operated for over 200 years. Initially set up as a quarrying business who became a global supplier of lime products and services. Following the fall of the UK Steel industry the company in question branched out into the renewables sector. Having recently set up a servicing arm on the back of an AD Biogas Plant builder acquisition, our client are now looking for Service Engineers with experience on CHP units.

Responsibilities:

* Responsible to the Area Supervisor you will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs on CHP Units - Gas powered and Biomass systems, AD plant and other general machinery around the Hereford / Shropshire areas.
* Working from home, you will visit customers Anaerobic Digestion Plants to carry out a range of service / maintenance and repairs on associated machinery.
* You will be working within a newly set up team of engineers. Clear career progression will be on offer for successful applicants.
* Mechanically you will be fault finding, replacing parts, mechanical failures, repairs, etc and electrically you will mainly be fault finding on 415v systems.
* This is predominantly a mechanical role however the company look for individuals who possess basic electrical skills and have the confidence to fault find on 24v systems, use multi-meters and other electrical test equipment.

Essential

* Time Served Engineer
* Hands on Experience with CHP units, Gas Engines or Diesel Generators
* Experience working in AD facilities.
* Flexibility to travel -
* Able to safely work/isolate electrical systems on engines

Desirable

* Experience working on CHP / Gas powered Engines - Jenbacher / MWM manufactured.
* Clean Driving Licence
