I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist subcontractor based near Grays. This opportunity requires a Graduate or Assistant level QS who has recently secured a 2:1 in Quantity Surveying and ideally has a bit of experience within the Construction industry.

My client is a subcontractor working on some large jobs who are running currently and initially the successful QS will be working alongside an experienced QS on a Crossrail project. The successful individual will be working in an established company and have the opportunity to have support in becoming RICS accredited. This role will initially involve working as the Quantity Surveyors assistant but there is an opportunity to develop as more experienced and industry knowledge is gained. If successful, the Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be initially based in Tilbury and involved in supporting and learning from the current QS and working on a number of Crossrail projects.

Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor Position Overview

* Tracking quantities of materials, plant and labour of individual projects
* Prepare valuations
* Assist the Quantity Surveyor and carry out Quantity Surveying duties.
* Record delay, loss and expense claims
* Ensure all relevant paperwork is collected and boxed.
* Learn and establish an understanding of working as a Quantity Surveyor
* Liaise with other team members.
* Working on a number of Crossrail projects.

Assistant/Graduate Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements

* Degree Qualified in Quantity Surveying
* Qualified with a degree grade 2:1 or above.
* Construction industry work experience would be highly advantageous.
* Living in or close to the Grays area in Essex.
* Highly motivated and willing to learn.

* £22K-£28K
