A unique, market leading manufacturing business seek a Project Manager to join their busy site in Milton Keynes.
The key responsibility of this role is to fulfil the project delivery for new and existing manufacturing programmes, to agreed deadlines and KPIs.
Duties;
- Develop the operations programme management process, infrastructure & resources.
- Ensure all programmes align to the existing business processes.
- Work closely with all business unit functions to ensure timely programme delivery.
- Act as the point of escalation for customer issues within individual programmes.
- Help manage and motivate the programme teams along with Production and Engineering management, to ensure all-round commitment to deadlines.
- Develop, approve and implement plans to achieve cost and schedule reductions.
- Work with Production Manager to ensure that KPI's are met or exceeded throughout the project life cycle.
- Responsible for helping to resolve, in the first instance, any conflicts that exist between programmes within Ops or Production Engineering (resource, schedule etc).
- Managing complex development programs through to completion.
- Weekly/monthly/quarterly presentation of progress to customers and senior management - acting as the POC for all customer queries.
- Assist marketing in the generation of RFQ's by providing costing inputs and schedules as required.
- Hold and chair programme progress reviews as required
- Continuous Improvement, You will have responsibility to for Continuous Improvement targets and activities in programme that are under your control.
Requirements of the candidate;
- Relevant certification in project management
- Preferably a degree in a relevant departmental function/technology or relevant experience in a project management environment
- In depth experience of managing programmes of similar size/scope of the same or similar functions and technology, with proven delivery.
- Experience of managing multi disciplined team including project teams, third party stakeholders and other internal functions.
- Knowledge and demonstrable experience using key Project Management methodologies and processes.
- Experience of managing manufacturing projects and international customers
