An excellent opportunity has arisen for a HGV Class 2 Cylinder Driver to join our team at our Edinburgh Retails Centre on a fixed term 3-month contract basis. In return, we offer a competitive pay rate of £8.50 per hour.

We are the second largest LPG supplier in the UK and has over 30 years experience providing alternative energy solutions to domestic and commercial customers.

The HGV Class 2 Cylinder Driver will be responsible for delivering cylinders to domestic and commercial properties around Edinburgh and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities of the HGV Class 2 Cylinder Driver role will include:

* Reporting to the Site Manager
* Carrying out relevant vehicle checks and reporting defects as per Operational Procedures
* Contributing in developing customer base / reporting competitor activity in area
* Completing all necessary paperwork ensuring accuracy standard is maintained
* A lot of heavy manual handling required
* Yard work as required

The successful HGV Class 2 Cylinder Driver will have:

* HGV Class 2 driving licence
* Driver qualification card (DCPC)
* ADR (class 2 gases) essential
* A flexible and hardworking ethic
* Ability to work within a physically demanding role which may involve some manual handling of cylinders and other manual work as required, for extended periods of time
* Ability to work in a team or on own initiative
* A willingness to work additional hours
* A forklift licence ideally but not essential

The hours of work are 40 per week, Monday to Friday 8am-4pm. Some weekend overtime may be required to support seasonal peak and customer demand.
