Currently looking for a Site Engineer to join our client in the North East. You will be site based working on a build scheme with particular emphasis on earthworks, drainage and steel frame.

Duties:

Be a main technical adviser
Setting out, levelling and surveying
Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy
Oversee the selection and requisition of materials
Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
Communicating with clients and their representatives
Preparing reports as required;
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

The Candidate:

Suitable candidates will have experience in working on civil engineering projects in a similar role, specifically within RC Structures, build and earthworks.

Ideally HNC/HND/Degree in a civil engineering discipline, although not essential
CSCS Card
Must be a team player but also able to work on own initiative
Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation

This post is set to last for 10 weeks. However the client have other works set to start shortly that would require an engineer and would provide a natural transition

Price / Salary: £23 - £26/hour
