A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Mechanical & Electrical Specialist Engineers to join one of the world's top ten steel producers. Employing over 80,000 employees across four continents my client is one of the largest and most diverse conglomerates in world business. Located on the outskirts of Wolverhampton the site comprises of 4 operating businesses including Automotive, Slitting Centre, Light Gauge Strip and Profiling.

The ideal candidate should be capable of demonstrating a good working knowledge and experience in PLCs, (fault finding and programming), electrical fault finding and repair, circuitry schematics, and electrical drives.

Ideally have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship, although time served Engineers will also be considered. to effectively maintain all process and auxiliary equipment with the business units with an aim to improving up time while reducing costs. Within these roles, the incumbents will also provide practical and technical support within their area of expertise by performing necessary breakdown repairs, leading preventative maintenance activity and facilitating the promotion of plant and process improvements.

Applicants will be expected to demonstrate their basic knowledge of electrical installations and single three-phase fault-finding and repair, or alternatively be capable mechanically with experience of stripping and reassembling hydraulic and pneumatic component parts.

Based on a mini continental shift pattern in a clean modern working environment with 262 hours annual leave plus bank holidays.

In return you can expect a market leading remuneration package to include a starting salary between £32,500 & £52,000 DTE including 30% shift allowance, a generous 10% contributory company pension and profit related bonus scheme.
