+ Initial 3 month contract

+ Software development and verification/validation with Rail market.

Software development and verification/validation with Rail market.

To support client update an existing legacy system with urgent changes within the constraints imposed by the CENELEC EN50128 SIL 2 safety argument.

Main Duties

Ability to pick up an existing software development and modify it with changes in accordance with process.

Ability to quickly understand legacy software, how it is built, how it is tested whilst maintaining its integrity.

Be comfortable with older technology, while recognising that older applications still need to change with ongoing customer requirements.

Be able to flex and adapt, and think outside of the box to solve complex software problems.

Be comfortable within a real time embedded software environment.

Be familiar with CENELEC EN50128 SIL processes deployed within the Rail market.

Be comfortable moving between Wiltshire and South Devon depending on client needs.

Have an understanding of Embedded C, 68000 Assembler and Pascal languages.

Be used to developing software at board support/device driver level.

Have an understanding of Enterprise Architect.
