Prime Staff is working with one of our well-established clients, based in the Leeds area, who are currently recruiting for a Production Manager to join their expanding team.
The role will involve Implementation and management of systems to increase and maximise productivity and efficiency through-out, whilst improving quality, with minimum waste and development of staff assurance, you will be reporting to the General Manager and Managing Director
Duties and Responsibilities
* Manage and develop Production to maintain and increase efficiency.
* Evaluate and identify training needs
* Monitor and maintain Company Quality standards, reducing waste.
* Plan and Co-ordinate all manufacturing processes and schedules
* Ensure all Production costs are managed effectively, including costs for adequate and appropriate staffing levels.
* Manage systems to locate Cutting Dies, Print plates and Inks
* Meet deadlines to ensure products are made on time.
* Effectively liaise with Sales and Transport staff to improve communication between departments.
* Manage machine maintenance programs.
* Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are followed and adhered to.
* Manage time and deadlines, using Reports, to ensure that no deliveries are missed, and jobs are pulled forward to group deliveries and maximise efficiency.
* Effectively communicate Production Issues with Sales personnel.
* Manage and organise all administration and paperwork procedures
* Inventory of Stock boards every month.
* Effective PIN management.
Skills and Experience Required
* Previous experience, and proven record in a similar manufacturing role is essential
* Must have proven record experience in creating and implementing effective systems to improve a Production function.
* Good communicator both written and oral
* Proven ability in reviewing, managing and motivating staff.
* Self-motivated and able to organise ones self.
* Must have experience in and be able to organise changeable workload and work to tight deadlines
* Excellent organisational skills are essential.
* Good I.T skills.
* Must have sound Commercial awareness
* Must be upbeat, friendly and professional
* Excellent eye for detail.
* FLT licence is desirable
Hours: Mon- Fri 8am-5.00pm but must be flexible in covering two shifts between 6:30am 6pm
Holiday: 20 days per year plus Bank Holidays
Salary: £24=£26K p.a. paid monthly
Price / Salary: £24000 - £26000/annum
