Our client is looking for an IT Support Technician to assist and support the IT Systems Manager with the companies IT Systems and Telephony across all UK sites. To provide a quality first line support process to staff, responsible for running an IT Helpdesk based at Head Office. Additional requirements of the role will be to help ensure information security and work to prevent cyber threats to the Company network.
**The ideal candidate will**
* Provide updates to Customers on support calls, and regular open call reports.
* Progress support calls to resolution liaising with IT Department second line support (IT Systems Manager and Web Manager) or external Third Party support organisations as needed. Build effective working relationship with Third Party peer contacts
* Develop an internal Operations Manual and documentation for reference and support, to include IT Department first and second line procedures for regular and scheduled tasks, support contacts, and other information to assist the support process
* Provide a timely response to internal Customer hardware and software problems and requests, including PC, Laptop, Printer, Telephony (including mobile) and Network support.
* Set up new Users and provide basic training on MS Office applications, Telephony and where appropriate other internal systems.
* Monitoring software updates, antivirus status, and system alerts and data backups. Document backup, recovery and email archive procedures. Conduct regular restore tests
The successful candidate will be expected to work rotating 2 week shift rota (07:30 16:00 and 11:30 20:00) Monday to Friday with occasional travel to other offices in the North/London but pool car will be provided for such journeys.
Salary between £22,000 - £27,000 per annum
